Congratulations! Two of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan lecturers, Mr. Lalu Muhammad Irham and Mrs. Sulistyawati, deserved this great accomplishment, a reward from the Ministry of Research and Technology /National Research and Innovation Agency (Kemenristek / BRIN) for the Best Article Writer Category. They made it into the category of High-Quality Scientific Article Award for Health and Medicine. The announcement of the reward was delivered at the 2020 Productive and Quality Intellectual Property Rights Award held at the Westin Hotel, Jakarta, and streamed online through Zoom and YouTube channel of Kemenristek / BRIN on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
Mr. Lalu Muhammad Irham successfully won the reward with his article “Genetic variants that influence SARS-CoV-2 receptor TMPRSS2 expression among population cohorts from multiple continents” published in the Journal of Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications on June 8, 2020 (doi: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bbrc.2020.05.179; H-Index: 252; SJR: 0.966; Impact Factor: 2.985). This article discussed the genetic variants that influence the expression of TMPRSS2 SARS-CoV-2 receptors among population cohorts (a group of people who share similar demographic characteristics) from multiple continents. The research used various databases to assess the tissue expression profiles of TMPRSS2 and occurrence of genetic variants in populations from several continents.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Sulistyawati successfully gathering an exceptionally good article entitled “Untapped Potential: A Qualitative Study of a Hospital-Based Dengue Surveillance System” gained the reward. It was published in The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene on July 8, 2020 (doi: https://doi.org/10.4269/ajtmh.19-0719; H-Index: 144; SJR: 1.182; Impact Factor: 2.453). The article explained about the strengths, weaknesses, and potential gaps in the hospital-based dengue surveillance system in Yogyakarta from the viewpoint of hospital staff involving the process of diagnosing, treating, and reporting dengue cases to the local health authorities.
Hopefully, this achievement can trigger the enthusiasm of the other lecturers to conduct good researches and publish their research results in reputable journals. Through this, they can give a good contribution to many people.

Dua Dosen UAD mendapatkan Reward dari Kemenristek/BRIN untuk Kategori Penulis Artikel Terbaik
Selamat kepada Bapak Lalu Muhammad Irham dan Ibu Sulistyawati yang berhasil mendapatkan reward dari Kementerian Riset dan Teknologi/ Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (Kemenristek/BRIN) untuk Kategori Penulis Artikel Terbaik. Kedua dosen Universitas Ahmad Dahlan tersebut berhasil masuk dalam kategori Penghargaan Artikel Ilmiah Berkualitas Tinggi Bidang Kesehatan dan Obat. Pengumuman reward tersebut disampaikan pada acara Anugerah Hak Kekayaan Intelektual Produktif dan Berkualitas tahun 2020 yang dilaksanakan di Hotel Westin, Jakarta dan disiarkan secara online melalui Zoom dan YouTube Kemenristek / BRIN pada Rabu siang, 18 November 2020.
Bapak Lalu Muhammad Irham berhasil mendapatkan reward dengan artikel yang berjudul Genetic variants that influence SARS-CoV-2 receptor TMPRSS2 expression among population cohorts from multiple continents yang dipublikasikan di Jurnal Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications pada tanggal 8 Juni 2020 (doi: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bbrc.2020.05.179; H-Index: 252; SJR: 0.966; Impact Factor: 2.985). Artikel Ilmiah tersebut membahas tentang varian genetik yang memengaruhi ekspresi TMPRSS2 reseptor SARS-CoV-2 di antara cohort (sekelompok orang yang memiliki karakteristik demografis yang serupa) dari berbagai benua. Penelitian pada artikel ini menggunakan berbagai database untuk menilai profil ekspresi jaringan TMPRSS2 dan kemunculan varian genetik dalam populasi dari berbagai benua.
Sementara itu, Ibu Sulistyawati berhasil mendapatkan reward dengan artikel Ilmiah yang berjudul Untapped Potential: A Qualitative Study of a Hospital-Based Dengue Surveillance System. Artikel ini di terbitkan di The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene pada tanggal 8 Juli 2018 (doi: https://doi.org/10.4269/ajtmh.19-0719; H-Index: 144; SJR: 1.182; Impact Factor: 2.453). Hasil penelitian yang dipublikasikan dalam bentuk artikel ilmiah tersebut bercerita tentang kekuatan, kelemahan, dan potensi celah dalam sistem surveilans demam berdarah dengue (DBD) berbasis rumah sakit di Yogyakarta dari sudut pandang staf rumah sakit yang terlibat dalam proses diagnosa, penanganan, dan pelaporan kasus demam berdarah dengue (DBD) kepada otoritas kesehatan setempat.
Harapan nya, prestasi ini dapat memicu semangat para dosen di lingkungan UAD untuk terus dapat meneliti yang baik dan mempublikasikan hasil penelitian nya di jurnal-jurnal yang baik, sehingga memberikan kontribusi yang baik untuk banyak orang. Semoga semuanya penuh berkah dan manfaat. Aamiin..
